New maneuver diesel locomotive for the coal mine Zenica – Investment of EP BiH
New maneuver diesel locomotive in brown coal mine „ Zenica“ has been in operation from 13.February 2015 , procured by JP Elektroprivreda BiH within process of the mine recapitalization . The investment value is 939,500 KM without VAT.
The maneuver steam locomotive previously used will be replaced by new locomotive MDD 3-00 with Caterpillar diesel motor CAT C6,6 ACERT – with total capacity 300 kW . The maneuver diesel locomotive will ensure more reliable coal transport , increase the capacity , level of technological process and reduce costs and maintenance time .
Total value of the realized EP BiH investment to coal mine Zenica amount to 23,5 million KM from planned 25.5 million KM . Senad Sarajlić Executive manager for generation in EP BiH talking about new invstments of Elektroprivreda BiH emphasized aim to be improved work conditions in the mine Zenica in future planning new investment for works in open pit „Raspotočje“ and procurement of front head machine in value of 19 million KM . Considering that the previous locomotive emmitted ceratin flue gasses , JP Elektroprivreda BiH realized procurement of purchase of new diesel locomotive , having in mind needs of RMU Zenica and local community , so reducing negative impact to the environment . Esad Čivić Director of RMU Zenica emphasized that the investment in coal mine Zenica will have full effect after montage of mentioned front head machine in pit „Raspotočje „ and therefore significant increase of the coal production .
The producer of locomotive is Express – Service OOD Bulgaria and supplier is KATIRE BH d.o.o. Sarajevo . The ceremony were attended by representatives of JP Elektroprivreda BiH , coal mine RMU „Zenica“ and officials of municipaity Zenica .
