National Emission Reduction Plan / NERP / important for human health and environment protection /improves investment costs
U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) in cooperation with Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of Bosnia and Herzegovina and JP Elektroprivreda BiH organized on 10.December, 2015 at the thermal power plant Tuzla the Round table with theme „ National Emission Reduction Plan„.
The Round table was organized within EIA Project of investing to Energy Sector .To representatives of the executive and legislative authorities of entity and BiH, power companies , regulatory commissions for energy , funds for environmental protection , NGO and local communities was presented a proposal of NERP consisting of plans for reduction of emissions in electricity generation from companies JP Elektroprivreda BiH and Elektroprivreda RS.
The National plan for reduction of emissions in ten years implementation period has aim to reduce gradually emissions of sulphur dioxid, nitrous oxide , solid particles from large plants for combustion within framework regulated by European Union Directives .
In that context JP Elektroprivreda BiH carries out intensive activities on harmonizing operation with EU directives concerning developing of generation capacities from renewable sources , revitalization of the existing blocks, construction of replacement blocks according to EU criteria.
